About Andrew Reed, CPA/System Analyst

Andrew is the President and CEO of Multi-View Incorporated (MVI), one of the most influential companies in the United States regarding the business operations of Hospice. MVI is perhaps best known for “the Model” - a modern approach to Hospice management which creates a high-quality, predictable experience that is financially balanced. The Model helps Hospices bring meticulous intention to virtually every aspect of the care experience including phone interactions, visit structures as well as indirect areas that support the frontlines of care. The innovations have helped to create some of the most successful Hospice platforms in the history of the movement resulting in the highest valuations, quality scores and phenomenal economic performance. Andrew and MVI have worked with over 850 hospices over the past 20+ years.

Andrew formed Multi-View Incorporated (MVI) in 1996 to provide assistance to Hospices specifically in the business area. Since then, MVI has multiplied into several different companies including MVI, MVI Systems, MVI Benchmarking and MVI Media.

Hospices are NOT historically very good at holding people accountable. Hospice people tend to be non-confrontational. Couple this with the fact that most Hospice managers have NOT been trained specifically in Accountability nor how to use “structures” of Accountability, and there is little wonder why so many hospices struggle in terms of predictable, high-quality and great operational results. This 60-minute program is designed to state the problem clearly and provide absolutely pragmatic methods (structures) a Hospice can implement to drastically improve Accountability.

Learning Objective:

  1. Understand, on a profound level, the utter importance of Accountability and why it cannot be solely based on the “personal inspection of work.”
  2. Understand the value of establishing clear, impressive and sustainable standards and how these standards enable the utilization of “self-control” to vastly increase Accountability.
  3. Explore many structural accountability methods utilized by Hospices that routinely operate in the 90th percentile.

We hope this messages helps.

When it comes to running a successful Hospice (or any other organization for that matter) People Development is the center of the universe! Everything that happens at a Hospice is because of its people. Therefore, People Development merits tremendous consideration in our view. This message addresses some of the essential questions and is loaded with ideas to get energy and juice into the learning experience. The hospice of the future will view itself not as a "provider of care"; but rather as a teaching organization.

As we evolve and advance spiritually and in business (business being a natural stage to learn spirituality), we must learn to love our people and love our organizations if we are going to attract and retain talent. We must personally, totally buy-in and give ourselves over to the cause... and that “cause” is people...

In this special FlashPage-Audio episode, Andrew talks about what it takes for a Hospice to remain independent...

"You have to learn to ignore the belly-aching and static of the hospice crowd. Times are good. It is just that too many people live in Weenie-Town and have made poor management choices like focusing on buildings rather than people. You can remain independent if you want to. It is your choice. However, to remain independent boils down to running a good business…plain and simple."
